You books are beautiful! I was so excited when they arrived! I jumped right in and made the three tier vanilla cake and only iced between the layers as we are not big frosting eaters.
The cake was dry and did not get a good review from my family members. Help what did I do? So sad!!!!

Having coveted the cookbooks in another person's kitchen, I decided I simply must add them to my own collection so I purchased both cake and Bake. Oh how I would love to have a copy of her next book, Cookies! I am addicted to cookies and I am sure I would be addicted to this book as well. The quality of the paper and the photos is always first class and simply flipping through the books brings Courtney into my kitchen, sitting on my shoulder and acting as a mentor for my baking experiences. I grew up with cookies and have never abandoned them, and I am always looking for interesting variations, which I am sure I will find in Courtney's next publication.
I always try to eat breakfast before I read her newsletter or I will be off on a virtual sugar high and loving every minute.
We just moved into our new home a year ago.
I have been baking since I was little. That was my job, to keep my brothers and dad in cookies, cakes or pies.
I won awards in 4-H. I’m really known for my Homemade Caramels at Christmas time and Sugar Cookies, etc.
I have made the Carrot/Apricot Cake last week for my husband to take to work for all the office girls. Hahaha
However, the pregnant woman decided to take most of it for herself! From the story it was hilarious to watch my husband said.
Both cakes are delicious! The Vanilla Bean is Very Delicious!!!
